Dr. Guangqiang Gao is a recognized thoracic and cardiac surgeon in Pomona, California. He received his medical diploma from the Second Military Medicine University in Shanghai city, China in 1986. Dr. Gao completed his medical education with a residency in general surgery at Oregon Health & Science University and a fellowship in thoracic surgery at UCLA Medical Center. The State Medical License gives him the right to practice medicine in California until 2017. His subspecialties are general cardiac and thoracic surgery. Currently, he is affiliated with Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and University of Southern California Cardio Thoracic Surgeons. He is an Assistant Professor at Keck School of Medicine of the University of South California. This doctor was awarded the honor ACS Fellow. In 2013, he published the article “Anesthetic Management of Bilateral Lung Transplantation from Donor Lungs Managed by the Organ Care System” in collaboration with other doctors.
