Dr. Amy Hackmann is a well-known thoracic and cardiac surgeon in Los Angeles, California. She received her medical diploma from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine in 2002. (At the same institution, in 2001 she received the BA title in Chemistry). Dr. Hackmann completed her medical education with a residency in general surgery at the University of South Florida, a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Southern California, a residency in vascular biology and surgery research at Washington University, a fellowship in thoracic surgery at the University of Southern California - LAC+USC Medical Center and a fellowship in transplant program, vascular surgery, thoracic/cardiovascular surgery at the University of Pittsburg. She is certified by the American Board in surgery, thoracic and cardiac surgery and her subspecialties are: general cardiac, adult cardiac surgery and cardiopulmonary transplantation. She works in several hospitals in the area, including Keck Medical Center of USC, USC Norris Cancer Hospital, Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Huntington Memorial Hospital and Methodist Hospital Of Southern California. She has published three articles in cooperation with other doctors.
