Dr. Thomas Pounds graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine and then did his internship at the Jackson Memorial Hospital –Jackson Health System. He did his residency in Nuclear Medicine at the UCSF and a residency in Anesthesiology at the UCLA Medical Center. He has been certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine in the field of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Pounds has been practicing radiology for more than two decades and is currently affiliated with several hospitals including the Mercy Hospital of Folsom, Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Sutter Medical Center –Sacramento, Sutter Davis Hospital, and Sutter Roseville Medical Center. He has also contributed to a research paper that was published in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine.
