The director of the Lung Cancer Program for the Mesothelioma Specialty Care Center of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Dr. Landreneau studied at the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before graduating from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1978. Completing a residency at Regents Of The University Of Michigan in thoracic surgery, Dr. Landreneau is board certified in thoracic surgery and practices within the state of Louisiana. Dr. Rodney Landreneau’s specialty is cancer of the lungs, including mesothelioma as one of his main areas of focus. In the last few years there has been an increase in the usage of minimally invasive treatment methods, with Dr. Landreneau developing more and more effective interventions.

“Dr. Landreneau helped me when others said that I’m a lost cause. He performed a VATS ULL procedure and after a short period of time I healed perfectly with just a little nerve pain. The truth is that we waited a couple of hours to see him, but believe me I would go and wait again if needed because of my result. ”
