Dr. Norman Means is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as in family medicine and blood banking and transfusion medicine. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine and did an internship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville, where he also started his residency training. The completion of Dr. Means’ residency followed at Duke/ FAHEC Family Practice Residency Program, as well as a fellowship program at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. Having a career in medicine of nearly 30 years, Dr. Norman Means is also a published researcher and a member of the College of American Pathologists. He received the Junior Investigator Award by American Society For Apheresis in 1999 as well. At the time, Dr. Means is affiliated with St. Elias Specialty Hospital in Alaska. His practice also supports German in addition to English.
