Currently practicing as a University of Washington Medicine Distinguished Endowed Professor in Lung Transplant Research, Dr. Mulligan specializes in lung cancer and lung transplantation surgery. Dr. Mulligan is also the director of the Lung Transplant Program and the Advanced Lung Disease Surgery Program within the University of Washington. As a leading video-assisted thoracic surgeon, Dr. Mulligan leads the Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery Program. With close to 200 works published, Dr. Mulligan graduated from the University of Connecticut and was a resident at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. His fellowship was completed at the University of Michigan Medical Center.
