    Completing the courses of the Northwestern University, Dr. Michael Liptay graduated from the Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in 1988. Studying for his residency at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Dr. Michael Liptay finished a fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, part of Harvard Medical. Dr. Liptay is currently practicing as the head of the thoracic surgery division at the Rush University Cancer Center and he specializes in cancers that require his expertise in thoracic surgery. Dr. Liptay has a keen interest in developing minimally invasive surgery techniques.
