    Dr. Leland Housman completed his medical schooling as well as internship from the Baylor College of Medicine and then did his General Surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego. He has also done a fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at the Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Housman is a board-certified thoracic and cardiac surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical experience. At present, he practices at the Scripps Green Hospital, Scripps Mercy Hospital –San Diego, and Naval Medical Center San Diego.
