    Dr. Elham Khanafshar is a pathologist based in San Francisco, California. She has been practicing medicine for more than 15 years. She is a board-certified specialist in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology and cytopathology. She also holds the Thin-Prep Certification and the ImmunoCyt Certification. She graduated from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 1999. She completed two residency stages in anatomical and clinical pathology at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the University of California San Diego, followed by two fellowship stages in surgical pathology at the University of California, San Diego and in cytopathology at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Dr. Khanafshar is a member of several renowned medical organizations including the College of American Pathologists and the American Medical Association. She contributed to numerous publications and is currently affiliated with the UCSF Medical Center.
