Dr. David Rice is an associate professor in the University of Texas Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and completed his studies as a medical student at the Trinity College School of Medicine within the University of Dublin. Dr. Rice was an intern at the St. James Hospital in Dublin, Ireland and later graduated as a fellow, focusing on T-Cell research, and on how stimulating these could improve immune system response towards cancer cells. Dr. Rice completed his residency in general surgery in Rochester, Minnesota, at the Mayo Clinic. Currently a Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery professor at the University of Texas, Dr. David Rice has an American Board of Thoracic Surgeons certification in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
