Dr. Vigneswaran, a native of Sri Lanka, graduated from the University of Sri Lanka Medical School and then moved to the United Kingdom, where he completed several residencies, at the Newcastle Health Authority, Hull Health Authority, University of Glasgow Hospitals and University of Edinburgh Hospitals. After his residency period in the UK, Dr. Wickii Vigneswaran moved to the United States for his fellowship, studying at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and the Mayo Clinic. Currently holding the position of associate chief of cardiac and thoracic surgery, Dr. Vigneswaran is a specialist in cancers of the lungs, such as mesothelioma.
