Dr. McCachren is a medical oncologist at the Thompson Oncology Group. His medical school, residency and fellowship were all completed at Duke University. His 30 year career as a specialist in the treatment of malignant mesothelioma has helped him develop efficient treatment methods. Dr. Spence McCachren has board certifications in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine, and is affiliated with the American Society of Hematology, the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. His focus on mesothelioma has been awarded numerous times during his career and his practice at the Thompson Oncology Group will provide with the required environment for further research into this area.
