Cancer antigen 125 CA for Mesothelioma & Lung Cancer Patients

Free Chest X-Ray Evaluation

CA 125 is a protein named tumor marker or biomarker, a substance found in higher concentration in tumor cells than in other cells of the body. It is currently used when ovarian cancer is suspected. Although it is present in up to 80% of advanced ovarian cancer cases, it is not present at early stages of the cancer. Both malignant (ovarian, uterine, fallopian or other intra-abdominal cancers) and non-malignant conditions may cause elevated cancer antigen 125. CA 125 is unreliable in differentiating benign from malignant ovarian masses.
