    Dr. Nestor Villamizar got his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, known as one of the leading centers in Bogota, Colombia. His internship included three years of cardiothoracic surgery research at Duke University Medical Center. He also did his residency at Duke University Medical Center and completed his medical training with a fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Villamizar was a chief resident under Dr. David Sugarbaker, an international expert in the treatment of mesothelioma. Dr. Nestor Villamizar is board certified in thoracic and cardiac surgery and is currently affiliated with University of Miami Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
