Dr. Joel Baumgartner is a surgical oncologist that treats cancers of the GI tract and melanoma. He got his medical diploma from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and went at University of Colorado School of Medicine where he completed his internship and residency. Later on, Dr. Baumgartner completed his medical education with a fellowship at University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine. He is currently affiliated with UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center and also board certified in surgery.
