Can pleurisy be diagnosed by X-rays?

The diagnosis of pleurisy often involves X-rays as the occurring inflammation can be observed using this method. The patient will undergo a standard chest X-ray, which can determine whether the condition is present or not by examining the severity of the inflammation.

Additionally, a specific type of test, decubitus chest X-ray, may be used as well. For the latter procedure, the patient will be laying on their side as this position allows the doctor to evaluate the quantity of fluid, which has accumulated within the layers of pleura.

We wanted a resource where people who are looking for better help can find it, because one of the issues that I have found is that the diagnosis takes a little bit, some people don’t know if they are diagnosed or not. This is something that it is important enough, that is why I wanted to put the information together.
