Dr. Gertsen graduated the medical school from the University of Duisburg- Essen Faculty of Medicine and did her residency at East Tennessee State University. A fellowship followed at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education soon after that. She is specialized in Pathology and board certified in Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology. Dr. Gertsen has been in practice for more than 6 years and is affiliated with Johnson City Medical Center.
