Dr. Robert Cameron, M.D is a skilled surgical oncologist in treating mesothelioma patients. Dr. Robert completed his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles. He underwent residency in surgery at UCLA School of Medicine and finished Internship in Surgery from UCLA School of Medicine. He also completed fellowship in cardiology from New York Hospital - Cornell University Medical Centre and in surgical oncology from National Cancer Institute. He has medical board certification in thoracic surgery from American board of thoracic surgery and also in surgery from American board of surgery.
Dr. Robert is the director of thoracic oncology in the department of surgery in UCLA medical center, Los Angeles, California. He joined as assistant professor of surgery in UCLA medical center, Los Angeles and then became the division chief of general thoracic surgery at west Los Angeles veteran’s administration, Los Angeles.
Dr. Robert’s area of clinical interests include mesothelioma, minimally invasive surgery, hyperhidrosis, esophageal, lung, lung transplant, thoracic outlet syndrome, pectus excavatum / carinatum, pediatric thoracic, thoracic, thymus, trachea and thoracic cancer. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Pacific Heart, Lung, & Blood Institute (PHLBI). He has been guiding teams for developing novel therapies for extending the lives of mesothelioma patients.
