Dr. Kelly Butnor is currently an associate professor at the University of Vermont, Department of Pathology, Burlington, Vermont. Being in the clinical research program, she is a very active professor in finding mesothelioma treatments and works primarily in testing novel immunohistochemical markers for the diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma and lung cancer. Her area of expertise is pulmonary pathology and she has more than 13 years of experience.
Dr. Butnor graduated from the Duke University School of Medicine in 1997. Subsequently, she completed her residency at the Duke University Medical Center where she practiced pathology. Finally, after a yearlong fellowship in pulmonary pathology at Duke University, she came to the University Of Vermont College Of Medicine in 2002 as an assistant professor.
