He graduated from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universitaet Freiburg in 1986 and thereafter took up residencies at the Emanuel Hospital till 1993 followed by one at the Legacy Emannuel hospital and then another at the University of Utah Medical Center where he practiced Hematology.
