Dr. David P. Mason is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the John Hopkins University School of Medicine and he is also an attending surgeon at John Hopkins Hospital and also at the John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Dr. Mason graduated Harvard Medical College where he received his undergraduate degree and received his medical degree from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
His general surgery training was completed at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in Boston. Dr. Mason continued with a fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at the same teaching Hospital of Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he focused on thoracic oncology. He specializes in Thoracic Oncology Surgery.
He was also a senior researcher in vascular surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. Now he is both board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery.
Dr. David Mason is a member of the American Society of Thoracic Surgeons, member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplant and a member of the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Mason’s medical interests are: general thoracic surgery, minimally invasive thoracoscopic and laparoscopic surgery, lung cancer, mesothelioma cancer, esophageal cancer, malignant mesothelioma and lung transplantation.
