Dr. David L. Bartlett attended the Rice University in Houston, Texas, in 1983, where he received his Bachelor Degree as a Roy Scholar. Between 1979-1983 he completed his medical studies at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, in Texas where he earned his Medical Degree.
Dr. Bartlett was awarded by the University of Texas Medical School for Academic Achievements, with Sansoz Award.
His residency in Surgery was completed between 1987-1993 at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Later, dr. Bartlett completed his Surgery Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Surgical Cancer Center in New York. His other research fellowships are: M.D Anderson Hospital, Department of Development Therapeutics, Houston, Texas, and the Department of Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
In 1994 Dr. Bartlett received his specialty certification from the American Board of Surgeons and he also received the American Cancer Society Award as a clinical oncology fellow. His medical interest are: management of advancedand complex abdominal malignancies. His research interest is focused on treating advanced carcinoma in the peritoneal cavity, including peritoneal mesothelioma cancer.
Between 1995-1996, Dr. Bartlett was a special expert at the National Cancer Institute Surgery Branch and became a senior Investigator at the National Cancer institute.
