Dr. Arkadiusz Dudek is a mesothelioma doctor, born in Poland. Dr. Dudek graduated the Medical University of Warsaw, in Poland. Dr.and received his MD in 1989. Later he completed his residency at the Polyclinic Medical Center at Harrisburg, in PA, for internal medicine. Dr Dudek also did a fellowship at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics; he was an oncology clinical fellow, at John Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Arkadiusz Dudek is now an Associate Professor and Director of the Clinical Trial Office in the Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation division. He is also part of the research program called Tumor Biology and Progression and co-chair of the Thoracic Oncology program at the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center.

He is a professional oncologist and his clinical interest focus is on the management of thoracic malignancies, including mesothelioma cancer, kidney cancer and malignant melanoma. His major interests are phase I and phase II clinical trials in solid tumors. He develops a laboratory research focused on cancer angiogenesis, tumor vaccines and preclinical novel drug testing.

Mesothelioma (cancer of the mesothelium) is a disease in which cells of the mesothelium become abnormal and divide without control or order. They can invade and damage nearby tissues and organs. Cancer cells can also metastasize (spread) from their original site to other parts of the body. Most cases of mesothelioma begin in the pleura or peritoneum.
