The Purdue University Center for Cancer Research was created in 1976, as a separate administrative unit within the University of Cancer Research.
Their mission is to study all types of cancer where they start – inside the cells. For their study research they bring the best specialists from varied areas of study like: engineering and veterinary medicine, biology and chemistry, specialist who will develop and lead the most the programs to find and discover how cancer develops, progress and responds to treatment.
Their studies are based on finding ways to detect cancer sooner and treat it more effectively. It is very important for them to share their work and results with scientists and physicians worldwide to find the most accurate technologies and treatments. Purude Center for Cancer Research is focused on the interdisciplinary research like: cell growth and differentiation, chemical and structural biology, drug delivery and molecular sensing and medicinal chemistry.
The center is also administering seven facilities: DNA analysis, drug discovery, Flow Cytometry and Cell Separation, Macromolecular Cristallography. Mass spectrometry, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Transgenic Mouse.
All of these facilities were created to serve the cancer patients who are contacting the Purude Center for Cancer Research, to help them fight back the cancer tumors. They treat all types of cancer especially the rare forms like mesothelioma cancer. For mesothelioma cancer the center is using different therapies including chemotherapy and radiation therapy combined with drug administration.
Contact mesothelioma doctors today and start with the right treatment!
Mesothelioma (cancer of the mesothelium) is a disease in which cells of the mesothelium become abnormal and divide without control or order. They can invade and damage nearby tissues and organs. Cancer cells can also metastasize (spread) from their original site to other parts of the body. Most cases of mesothelioma begin in the pleura or peritoneum.
