The Rebecca and John Moores UCSD Cancer Center is a multidisciplinary facility, founded in 1978, and it is part of the University of California, San Diego, California. The Moores Cancer Center is one of the 40 centers designed by the National Cancer Institute in the United States, of course designed as a comprehensive cancer center.

The center has almost 150 open clinical trials and is ranked as one of the top centers in the world for their studies and for their cancer programs providing real help for people developing cancer diseases.

The Cancer Center is focused on developing studies that compare the best standards of care patients with a promising new treatment. The Moores Cancer Center facility is spaced in order to be proficient: they have a specific space to develop scientific research, a special place for cancer control and prevention, administrative departments designated to the personnel working in the center.

The center is carrying out research in: cancer biology, cancer genes and genome, cancer prevention and control, cancer symptom control, hematologic malignancies, lung and mesothelioma cancer, tumor growth, invasion and metastasis.
