The Cancer Therapy & Research Center is founded in 1974 and is now one of the leading research and treatment centers designed by the National Cancer Institute in Texas.This institute was built in order to provide for the community radiation therapies for the lung cancer patients and also for many other types of cancer.

The CTRC institute is recognized nationally and also internationally, for conducting the biggest program in the world for Phase I clinical drug trials. Is good to know that the CTCR is part of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Diego, California.TThis institute is an Institute for Drug Development that serves 4.4 million people.

It is the third designed cancer center, in Texas, by the National Cancer Institute. The Cancer Therapy & Research Center develops a very advanced work in cancer research and is also influencing the standards of cancer prevention, treatment and research trough the nation.

CTRC` s mission is “to conquer cancer trough research, treatment and prevention.” They are is offering programs for cancer patients; the comprehensive patient care being based on: medical, nutritional, emotional, physical and spiritual support for cancer patients. Diagnostic though treatment, rehabilitation, discharge and follow up care.

The center offers treatment for: breast cancer, mesothelioma and other types of lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, geriatric oncology, head and neck cancer, sarcoma, thoracic pulmonary cancer and genitourinary cancer.
